Schedule for first session of filming

Our first session of filming will take place on the Thursday 2nd of December.
We have sent round a text to each of the members of cast to ensure that they are around to film that day.

The girls all replied to the text saying those plans sounded fine.
On the day we will all leave school at 2.30 and drive to white hill. At we will set up the camera and do the first part of the filming which will be the girls in the car. We will then travel to Caterham valley where the house we are using is. We will organise the girls and start our next bit of filming. As it gets dark we will go over to the woods across from the house to film our scene in the woods. Are aim it to get all the filming done on this date. We can then go on to edit in class and if we need to redo scenes we can. Filming everything at one time will help with continuity in our trailer, as what the girls are wearing, lighting, and atmosphere will change when we have to refilm.

New story board

As we edited out shot list we had to create a new story board. We did this story board in much more detail, for each shot we named the shot wrote an explanation and listed how long each shot would be. After looking at the story board again and doing some more research we realised that the release date is usually the penultimate frame and at the moment ours is are final frame, so we have decided that it would look more like a real film trailer if we added in an extra frame in at the end of the story board, This extra frame will contain the web adress for our film and the directors name meaning that the release date is our penultimate frame. This is our new story board:

We filmed our story board, we filmed each frame for the amount of seconds it will be on screen. We did this to find out how many seconds our trailer would last for.

Costumes for our cast

It is important that we pick suitable outfits for our film trailer, we need to reflect the girls personality's and our film trailer. As the girls we are using are teenagers the will all already have their own individual dress sense's. We need to make sure they look like typical teenage girls. As the girls are going to a holiday home and not a party we will make them wear fairly casual clothes and give each girl there own individual look.
We have picked out each girl two different outfits, after looking at them we will decide which one they will be wearing for the trailer.
When choosing our outfits we need to consider different things to make sure they fit in with our trailer and so they follow suit in other films, These are the things we will need to consider.
- Colours- It is important we pick colours carefully, the colours of the girls outfits can act as symbolisers and encourage different moods and reactions. For example bright colours could represent a happy love film.

- Personalities- Each character will have a different personality and it is important that there outfits portray this character. For example the tomboy would wear jeans and trainers, the girly girl would wear skirts and lipstick.

- Variety- It is also really important that there is variety between each outfit, if all the girls looked the same it would become monotonous.

These are potential outfit number one for each of the girls. All of these outfits are quite casual and this is good because this is day to day wear of a teenage girl. As the girls are going away we obviously want them to look nice but they cant look to dressed up because this wont fit in with the scene. We will look at one other outfit for each girl and then decide which outfit they will wear.

Story Board

Story boards were originally used in Walt Disney the famous children's movie producers. They began by drawing images on separate pieces of paper, pinning them to wall to make a sequence which then subsequently gave them the idea of a story board, because of this story boards have now become an essential part of planning/creation progress.
We thought a story board was essential as it would give us a pre-visualisation of our trailer. It would also help us when we went to begin filming as it would give us a sequence to follow.

We have also decided as a group to use Longacre's theory in order to help create
a good enough model for analysis of texts. There are 8 sections to Longacre's theory.
Here are a list of the sections and how we will apply
them to our own story.

Aperture: The "once upon time" opening- Girls happy and excited on the way down to holiday house

Exposition: Containing vital information about time, place, local colour and participants-arrive at house and talk about stories they have heard about the house

Inciting moment: The moment when things start moving in a story, when the predictable movement of the exposition is broken into- Begin to play ouija board

Developing conflict: When the action intensifies- lights turn black and fast, action shots begin

Climax: When matters come to a head and con

frontation and "final showdown" become inevitable- one girl is chased into the woods

Denouement: A crucial final event occurs and makes resolution possible- girl falls to ground and stange thing approaches her

Final suspense: Details of the resolution are finally worked out

Conclusion: Some sort of satisfactory end is arrived at

This is our story board. Ella w

as in charge of creating the story board and this is what she produced. Ella has done a step by step picture and explanation of the production we are going to make.
