Setting- Ideas

After choosing my Genre the next aspect I needed to think about was my setting.
I did a bit of research and found out the typical settings of a Thriller movie:
Ocean

Graveyard

Desert

Hotel

Woods

House

Island

Many of these settings would be hard to access in the period of time that i have to make this trailer. I also had to consider what props i would be needing if i used certain settings, for example using an 'ocean' as my setting I would need a boat and a cast that would have to be prepared to get into cold water, I don't have access to a boat, it would also make filming alot harder as I would have to travel to Brighton each time I wanted to film. Realising this i decided to narrow down my options to the settings that i could easily access, I was left with:

  1. Graveyard
  2. School
  3. Woods
  4. House

We decided as a group to enable us to be able to film as often as we need to we are going to need our setting to be in a house. A house was one of our preffered settings anyway, as we already have ideas for our trailer we have realised that the setting being a house would fit in well. We feel that this will allow us to be able to film whenever we need to. Later on we will take pictures of potential houses that we can use for our setting.

Planning our trailer

We have now moved onto planning our trailer, we started by pulling all our initial ideas together and then making a spider diagram of the ideas we have

Synopsis:

We did this so that we were then able to pick from the spider diagram the ideas that really stood out. Doing this enabled us to pull together a story line.
